FW: I'm looking for captioned videos to show in class

Hi, I'm a new adjunct instructor for a summer biology course. Ann Burdett referred me to you. She mentioned that the college has a large collection of videos that have been captioned. There are two BBC Horizon documentaries that I am considering showing in class, one I cannot find at all; the second I found a video but no CC available for it. I'm wondering if the college might already have these two videos available. They are entitled as follow:

1. BBC Horizon documentary entitled, "How much is your dead body worth?" 2008

2. BBC Horizon documentary entitled, "Who's afraid of designer babies?" 2005

See: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sn/tvradio/programmes/horizon/babies_prog_summary.shtml

Thank you for your help and best regards,

Answer

Dr. Handran,

We do have a close-captioned version of Who's Afraid of Designer Babies, in our Films on Demand database.  You can access this film at:

https://fod.infobase.com/p_ViewVideo.aspx?xtid=36105&tScript=0

If this link doesn't work, go to http://libguides.ohlone.edu/az.php?a=f&t=30278

Click on "Films on Demand" & you'll be asked to log in with your Employee I.D. & last name.

I found a version of the BBC's film, "What is Your Body Worth" @ https://ok.ru/video/281972312805, but it's not close-captioned.

Let me know if you need more assistance.

Cheers!
